you might lose the "key item" you need to start a mission, but you can freely backtrack and get it again whenever you want
You don’t lose anything if you win though, so it’s way generous than LC
It's a deck building battle simulator game. more complex than Slay the spire but without Rogue-like element. Make sure you like this type of game before you buy. Many people come from Lobotomy corp dislike and blame this game difficulty. it's not their type of game.
for me i like LoR more than LC
In LoR, you unlock battles (Invitations), and once they're unlocked, they stay unlocked no matter what. You never have to go back in terms of progress.
Well... You do have a "entry fee" (Books) for these battles, and if you lose, you lose the fee (Books). Lets say you completed battle A, then tried but lost battle B, and battle B requires you to get a entry fee as reward from completing battle A, so you would have to repeat batte A to gain back acces to battle B.
It's basically a long string of Invitations, but on the bright side, doing one battle might give you 1-5 Books for the next one. And if you really don't want to lose them, you can quit to desktop or alt+F4.
But yeah, no real loss of progress in this one, no way to hit a dead end. Still tough as nails like Lobotomy Corp though.
Just to make sure, you did sold it to me, but i'm just joking about last part.
