Could you elaborate on faries being a color killer?
For passives I use- Myo's prowess, lone fixer, and Remain vigilant in peace
For deck(red mist cards)- 2 slash, 3 pierce, 2 blunt, 2 focus spirit
For strategy just do your best to survive(especially for the first two rounds) till you get rolling and don't make trades you cant win better to just do one sided attacks to draw(or light) and get the costs down
Also, Fairies is basically spores(a mix of burn and bleed). Except it procs whenever the enemy rolls ANY die(so blocks and evades too). And like spores, it only decays when the turn is over.
With folks like Kali and Iori who attack a lot(or counter a lot in Iori's case), you can see how that would kill them fast.
the range card basically will eat purple tear's counter and lower her offensive dice through feeble.
I've got one of the SotC Index pages w/ smoke on one assistant, Nemo's with a max of 20 charge on another, a single Dennis page user, and either a Rabbit or Reindeer team member on it. I typically use her speed die lock card to destroy a counter die (as it rarely fails to beat one), Nemo's page with 20 charge full revive can help stall her, Index takes a while to set up but can deal decent damage w/ smoke in the mean time, the Thumb member's just there to shoot her once her counter dice are gone, and the R Corp. member is there...because I didn't have another page. And even leading with this set up, I can still reliably get her to half health, consistently losing either one assistant or suffering no casualties at all.
After that, hope you get good RNG on which floor she picks so you can chip her down, pick a floor other than philosophy to further chip her down (like Gebura's), and then go back to the floor of Philosophy and your win's practically guaranteed unless you got screwed by RNG at some point.
Never underestimate Binah. She may not be a broken solo unit, but in a team she can be godly.
