Anyway, DD spoilers but it's apparently shown in a flashback of some still untranslated chapters that Benjamin approached Dias and I think Moses?, with the intention to start a war. The Smoke War, which caused the fall of the previous L Corp and allowed LobCorp to take its place so they could hide their plan for the SoL from the Head by acting as a Wing. So it's probably Dias, rather than Carmen, as this would take place after Garrion's attack.
My bad. I've just mistakenly thought that Leviathan wanted to disprove my words
Roland obviously black silence at this point
We'll fight purple tear, I wonder if Roland will intervene some way since it seems purple tear help him get to library
Possibly for revenge?
Also yeah, I was just commenting on the people who tried disproving Roland being the Silence because of the attack on Rumanos.
Since library is the true source of distortion.
I mean, if he was, he wouldn't be remembering it since no-one remembers what happened between the start of the train ride and moment of their restoration. Some times WARP cleanup employees are enough, and if ♥♥♥♥ gets tough, R-Corp cleans it up. They can do damage as they please anyway, as long as the flesh is returned to the correct seats to start the restoration.
(Jeez... Reminds me of Viscera Cleanup Detail... Except they deal with discreet disposal and cleanup in there, not retrieval/restoration... Still, might make for a interesting map idea, hm...)
Well, anyway, i'm not particularly convinced he's a Colour, let alone the Black Silence. We will just have to see in due time.
Not like there's an easy answer yet. But if any place is worth investigating, it's any statements he or other made about the Pianist, now i don't remember exactly, but either Roland lied a little about the events, or someone like Blue Boi (Argalia) mentioned a different take of events regarding the Pianist, it's all a bit foggy on what's true and what's false. Either way, someone has to be wrong/lying. Bit lazy to check myself, though.
Perhaps Chesed's floor realization will show the last part of the puzzle if the trend continues of Roland being the middle floor's bosses. (Wonder what they'll do for the "lower" floors, hm...)
That or stuff like the Purple Tear, who could be added any day now.
(Though entirely possible as a 4v1, or someone like Roland standing in for the missing patron librarian, its gonna be weird for them to balance Binah's page vs the realization anyway probably.)
The Rumanos Cartel got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up pretty hard by Roland, from what we can gather from the realization. He did that on his own considering that Astolfo seemingly arrived only after his deed with the intention of convincing him to stop rampaging.
Meanwhile the Thumb reception tell us of how the Rumanos Cartel got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by the Black Silence, so hard, that they couldn't recuperate even after a long time, resulting in their expulsion by the Sottocapo.
The Rumanos Cartel can't really get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ twice by Raging Roland AND the Black Silence without immediately ceasing to exist, hence they're both the same person. Roland even wears a uninspired black mask (I can only hope he will fix his fashion sense).
Not to mention the things Roland allegedly did according to the Rumanos Cartel goon, among which was him ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the Middle. The Middle, which happens to be one of the five fingers. Red Mist only managed 5 Index Proxies and 3 Messengers, Roland ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the Middle.
It's pretty easy to assume that he's the Black Silence rather than not, to be honest.
I think Argalia was telling the truth, and Roland just twisted some details about his tragedy in order to try and keep Angela in the dark. If she realized Roland lost his wife to the pianist she'd be a lot more wary of him, especially after admitting she was the cause for it. He's lied before about his past, after all. And from what his realizations seem to show, his past isn't really being shown to everyone like Angela's as much as it's him reflecting on it and eventually coming to terms with his grief.
