Enemies need less cards for speed dice
So due to this recent change with the amount of light people have and the amount of speed dice people have I feel like enemies basically have an infinite amount of cards at their disposal where we'd run out.

I feel like the enemies should have their hands run out but from what I've seen they always have a full hand or at least it seems that way as if you get a Liu Section 2 worker to emotion level 3+ they will ALWAYS have 3 cards.. even though their pages have no card draw whatsoever.

This could also be me potentially baby-raging or pleading for some nerf or something but to me it feels like later on unless you carry Will of the Prescript + Energy Cycle/Leap / Shining Spear you'll have a hard time reliably having cards if you're using them. It may possibly fall onto the whole management aspect of saving turns or saving cards but that seems counterproductive for the game at SotS where you're constantly clashing or taking lots of damage.

The enemies on the other hand seem to have a full hand at all times and never have dead hands or run out of cards.

There needs to be better draw cards?

Well if there were better draw cards that would be good but.. I still think it's unfair in the sense that enemies don't need draw cards at all to have basically a full hand or an unlimited number of cards to use.

I've noticed that Liu start their act with 6 cards in their hand despite having no bonuses for such?
I've come into the fight pretty prepared (corpse removal/instant cooking on everyone) and I get constantly staggered because they basically have a free handlock to spam Turbulence with.
It's the first story fights in a very long time that I haven't beat first attempt because their raw dice power is so much better than anything you have on top of having hidden buffs like a larger starting hand.

Guests dont follow the same rules as librarians aside from light gen, they DO have card draw (their 3 cost) but its uncommon for them to not use a dice slot yes. However, guest receptions have never been "fair", we as the librarians always see where they attack and utilise abnos and ego.

Enemies have always had boosted stats (Yujin has 108 health in her reception), Hell the Liu have 118 hp each despite their page only having 84.

I know you're all upset probably because Liu whooped your ass, but rebuild your decks and utilise the new passive system, once you defeat the first act, the second is much easier because you keep your emotion level and ego. The second liu fight is doable for the same reason.

Well, it wouldn't be the first time enemies have sneaky behind-the-scenes code to have them start out with more (or less/no) cards. Though ussually this is reserved for, y'know, bosses/abnormalities.

It's doable though, if you cheat like hell with Cleanup and/or Cooking. Never needed more then a single team to beat all waves in the first and second invitations.

Honestly, its kind of insane... Like, you MUST use Corpse Cleanup or you CANNOT beat them. And we can only put this on like, two and a half floors, maybe 3 with Instant Cooking.
So then what? 7/10 floors will be unfit for combat because they lack the essential 20% healing. That's pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ design, no?

They should probably nerf the hell outta Corpse Cleanup (atleast for the player-side), and nerf the Liu BIG TIME to compensate (or allow like, 2 floors for the first invitation, and 2-3 for the second one). But i guess this is a smidge off-topic... Hm...

I have Corpse disposal or Instant Cooking on everyone and they run decks I think are optimal. For act 1 you really need them to spam ignorable cards likr Sturdy Defence, if you get what happened to me where you get 3x Emotional Turbulence on you 3 turns in a row you're absolutely screwed.

Lets not forget that the new emotion system are in their favor with their passive and combat pages compared to ours and not yet optimal

With the new emotion system, all the Star of the City invitation could be a race to see whichever side reaches level 3 emotion and that is where both sides starts to snowball hard

Its also quite hard to enter the fight with 2nd reception when the enemy is at around level 3-5 emotion due to them having more speed die and +power on the dice (i almost got myself wiped on my first try bringing in 2nd reception against 2 Liu enemies at emotion 4+ at 1st act)

Back since I now beat chapter 1 of Liu, it's certainly a major difficulty spike, Act 1 is quite RNG since you can't let them develop their EL too much or you'll just drown in damage, once you clear that you just massively outpace the other acts in terms of dice and light so you'll beat them no issue. It's mostly the hurdle of getting a solid start so you can outpace them and reach a strong position in terms of hand layout and EL before they do.
Overall I think the difficulty is actually fine after going through it, I probably should've taken the loss the first time around to get some of their combat pages just to use those against them.
