It make way more sense that it's her own ego. Since her "inner self" feel restricted in everyway and in the op she is imprisoned until she 'break out' which will probably be the time she actually awake her ego during her meltdown
Think she has that outfit in the 100% completion scene for Lobotomy too, and it reminds me of how the White Dusk has the outro text mentioning her (the "Pale Librarian"), and a library and books, and all. (They planned this quite ahead of time, huh.)
Hm, makes me wonder... There's that empty spot where Carmen was in Lobotomy, in the tree of life, wonder if that'll become a floor with a somewhat OP Angela, as completion reward? Or perhaps play some other role? :P
