Allow us to move our librarians between floors
Straight forward: from what I've seen you cannot move the librarians around so please correct me if I'm wrong.
Since death isn't permanent, I would rather being able to use my favorite librarians as often as possible and maybe shift them inbetween floors to get the benefits of other abnormalities.

I second this. Sometimes I want to move librarians to other floors because sometimes I name librarians after certain groups of people and sometimes I need to categorize them differently, and having to remake the librarian's look again gets very tedious.

There's also swapping members around for special cases where the 4th librarian is not available on that floor (why, Kether?) and it's most optimal to use a 4-man floor (for the latest story quests). I would want to move my favorite librarians over instead of stripping Kether's equipment and equipping them temporarily to the other floors (which is annoying if you're using custom books or appearances since it resets)

I suppose for lore reasons the patron librarians can't leave their positions, but yeah, i don't see why the librarian assistants can't just swap departments.

Hm... The most fair way would be to have every abnormality/story unlock for the floor increase the floor's size accordingly as it adds the extra librarian. Meaning you can swap librarians between floors but if that floor has a limit of 3, you can't exeed it with a 4th.

---

So yeah, they could probably just:

-Add a "Librarian pool" that's normally empty that Librarians can be put into (much like Lobotomy's employee pool where they can be stored safely without participating in the day).
(If this may cause issues with fights, perhaps do not allow invitations until every open slot is filled.)

-Patron Librarians that lead the floors obviously can't be put in the pool. (Perhaps indicated by a lock symbol.)

-One can move librarians from the pool to a floor to put them there or swap them with the currently selected librarian.

-Initially, extra librarian slots are locked (such as the 4th and/or 5th slot).

-Levelling up the floor, in addition to adding Librarians, now unlocks more slots, which Librarians can be put into. (But you obviously can't put 4 librarians in a floor with only 3 slots.)

That way you'll never exeed that floor's intended Librarian count. It would probably be the fairest way to go about it. Otherwise you're able to staff a floor you normally have 3 librarians on with 4, and during a 2-stage battle swap one out, which could be a rather unintended advantadge.

I agree on this. they did it in Lobotomy and it was part of my fav thing

I'd be honestly fine in having half the librarians and the normal amount of unlocked floors.
As it is right now, there is no point in having close to 40 librarians all over the floors when I am going to use the same ones with the best pages.

Well that's not entirely true, there's some reasons one could want all the floors fully staffed.

-Being able to build a thematically appropiate team via Appearance Projection.
-Making builds that fully utilize the floor's abnormalities to their best (good ol bleed builds on Hod or % heal abuse on Netzach).
-Should you lose a fight you got other floors ready to continue the fight.
-Edit: And we'll probably need like all the floors atleast once in one fight... (Though that sounds dreadful to throw on us, 10 consecutive battles with no breaks or checkpoints...)

Sure, sometimes you want to bring your A-team with their extra resistances and HP bulk (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Musicians of Bremen and their insane ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ damage - still the hardest fight so far), but sometimes a regular team will do, too.

Granted that but from what I recall the most floors you use in the current events are 2.
I would LOVE to have longer scenes where you need to use 3/4 floors, even challenges where you farm books and the like... but right now with 2 floors used at most there is really no reason to have so many people around.

If they did that, it would be amazing. Tired of giving my 'best pages' to some random when the one librarian i like are in 'Architecture'

I know this topic aged slightly, but figured i may as well post my idea here instead of make yet another topic.

So, had a thought... What if there was a system to swap librarians between floors like this?
-You can drag & drop librarians, even to other slots on the same floor, upon dragging them a new UI shows up, overtaking what is normally the page and stat display underneath the floor's librarian slots.

-The UI shows a list of all the slots of all the other floors, so imagine all the librarian slots from Kether to Malkuth displaying on the left side of the screen (with functioning scroll up/down ability if needed), with the currently selected floor on the top of the list. From that UI, you can drop the held employee onto any other non-patron librarian to swap their positions.

-If the librarians being swapped have conflicting pages that exeed the team's equipment limit, the page is unequipped with a notification of such.

-You obviously cannot drag & drop Patron Librarians, they're always bound to slot #1 of their respective floors. (And if it saves space, there's no need to display patron librarians in that list of floor slots anyway.)

That way it's a simple drag & drop that only involves re-using already made UI elements. Considering the nature of this game - customizable units that cannot die - it is preferable that we're able to swap them around, be it to help them attain a battle throphy with a more better-suited team, or for particularly challenging endeavours to assemble a strong team.

Hot take: I actually like that I cant just shove my best librarian around wherever I need him, forcing me to build multiple teams that arent just bench warmers. I like it when a game has a larger cast I am actually using instead of going for example Disgaea where I could have 30 different classes but only use the same 10 characters all the time.

Of course that would be more meaningfull if more floors were actually necessary for some battles. I hope one day some battles will use 4 floors or so.

But we can swap Key Pages and their decks no problem so your point is moot.

What we want to move the visual aspects of the Librarians.

Yeah its mainly visual stuff. Like, say, i want the Imperfect Ego glasses battle throphy, but that fight is a 4-man fight (a tough one at that), and the librarian i want it on is in a 3-librarian team right now, so... That makes it pretty much impossible without moving people around.

It's also a little easier to just move librarians in some cases, instead of their pages. And since they don't die anyway, chances are we'd get fairly attached and would prefer to move them over the painfully slow process of recreating them in another floor.

You can? I havent played the game in a while because I wanted to wait for full release. When I last played the pages were bound to their floor, which gave each floor an unique flavor for me. That you can now freely switch them is a disapointement for me and makes my point moot, like you said.
