Looks like a good game, but does the user have any control over the night cycle? Can you turn it off?

This game doesn't look right. How can you have North American steam locomotives run around on these layouts without wood, coal, oil, or water tenders hook up behind them? Are you serious? The tenders are what supplied fuel to keep the locomotives running. That is part of American history and this is totally wrong the way the game is set up now.
