Can we play the coop campaign solo?

Looking at how coop works in this game (one player has normal portals, the other one has time), I feel that we should be able to play it solo as well.

If the devs never add an official way to play them solo, does anyone know how to jerryrig a singleplayer coop map experience? thanks!

So this is just plain wrong. The maps are designed in a way where it requires that separation of portals, it definitely isn't a single player campaign disguised as co-op.

I am guessing you haven't played it or had a look at the puzzles because if you had you would see that co-op is required,

You are correct, I've never seen these maps, because I don't have anyone else to play them with. I was just going off of the post the developers made explaining coop, which (to me) made it seem like it could be almost interchangeable with singleplayer. I see and understand that that is not the case now though.

Well if you want to play coop alone then use this method:

1. Create a text file: solocoop.cfg with these contents:

sv_cheats 1
ss_pipsplit 3
ss_pipscale 1
ss_pip_bottom_offset 0
ss_pip_right_offset 0
alias charswitch switch2
alias switch1 "in_forceuser 0; ss_force_primary_fullscreen 1; alias charswitch switch2"
alias switch2 "in_forceuser 1; ss_force_primary_fullscreen 0; alias charswitch switch1"
bind c charswitch
ss_map mp_coop_start

2. Save the file solocoop.cfg to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Portal Reloaded\portalreloaded\cfg

3. Start the game and open the console (F10 by default)
4. Type exec solocoop and press enter.
5. You swap characters by pressing "C". Sometimes you need to press "C" twice after a level loads or after a robot dies. Have fun!
