Valve/Steam has their ♥♥♥♥ secured and do not tolerate malware being distributed on the platform. If a high-profile hyped up Portal 2 mod like this was bundled with malware and put up on Steam, it would be taken down immediately. If you're feeling overly paranoid, feel free to download it and then scan its game directory with whatever antivirus/antimalware program you please.

Windows 10? ... The phrases 'bent over and being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rigid by MS' and '[no longer] private data' come to mind. Maybe you have your concerns the wrong way around.
