... i thought this was the solution
Present: Portal Blue on the slope at the opposite where you step onto the bumper to catch the cube. Portal Orange in the small room opposite of the Time-Portal.
Future: Portal orange on the opposite of the time-portal, Portal blue on the slope on the opposite of the exit.
Plan: Put cube on the bumper before the exit in the present. Step onto the other bumper and get catapulted through the little room, all the way to the future exit (don't forget to catch the cube in the future).
The combination looked fine, but the physics engine killed my momentum as soon as I entered the little room.
I looked for hints on the internet and was quite disappointed to find that either the whole room looks like bad communication (I didn't expect the green force-field to work this way) and/or all the the solutions look like a hack.
This is exactly what I tried for at least a solid half hour before giving up and just shooting portals everywhere until suddenly the green portal shoot out outside the little green room and I was like Oh...
I also tried this before I had to Google the answer. You don't fly through the portals at the right angle or speed, so you clip the edge slightly you enter the green room, that kills your momentum.
The game definitely needs to train you more on the green forcefield in order for this chamber to be fair when a first time player reaches it.
Though to be fair I feel it's a weird puzzle element anyway - a little trick to unlock the time portal, in this chamber only.
I literally did this and it worked, you just have to jump as u enter the middle room to keep your momentum,
Took me quite some tries but it's possible. Still feels like using a glitch.
Would probably be easier if the room was just a tiny bit higher...
