How many times are we going to re-buy Myst? As many times as we're gonna re-buy GTA V and Skyrim apparently. We're begging you to do Riven and Exile. Also Revelations and End of Ages would be nice. If you do Riven, Exile and Revelations in this quality, I'll buy them. But due to a laundry list of changes that this recent edition of Myst has, I'm going to avoid buying until I see some actual flexibility with your releases.

To be fair, most of the graphical changes are really nice. The game itself looks terrific. But I know the game by heart basically, and the randomized puzzles only add a couple minutes of backtracking for a returning player of the game. New players will love finding things out and experimenting. VR players will get a nice visual treat. But as a returning player, I'm gonna wait till Cyan gives us something more. See ya till then.

What's more, as of this ( https://www.starryexpanse.com/2019/08/15/mysterium-2019-a-very-special-announcement/ ) announcement, they seem to be working directly with Cyan to make that a reality.

A Riven remake is coming. It may be a while (SE is a good 12 years old now), but SE is even committed to VR support.

So yes, Riven VR is also happening.



And honestly, a remake is the best thing that will have ever happened to the game since it's release. We've had RealMyst for 20 years now, which was always a bit more accessible. Riven hasn't had that due to it's sheer scope compared to Myst.

It's about time Riven got it's due.
