[Help] Am I stuck in the Selenitic Age?
First time player, never played the original.

Playing blind, I made my way to the Selenitic Age as the first Age. Did all the puzzles, ended up at the maze.

However, I got terribly stuck. I did a bit of searching and found out that the solution is related to something in the Mechanical Age. I didn't read more in order to avoid spoilers.

I am now stuck in the Selenitic age. Is there a way out? The original submarine ship thing I came in on can't be opened anymore and there doesn't seem to be any way back to the main hub so that I can go to the Mechanical Age first. Am I missing something incredibly obvious?

Appreciate some guidance if anyone can help!

It was only later that I had the light bulb moment of "oh, the sounds in Mechanical match up with the maze runner, that is how the puzzle 'should' work."

I did Mechanical Age after Selenitic so I didn't know what significance the sounds had, so I drew the map on a paper as I went along the tracks to keep track where I was. Took me an hour and over 20 visited stations, but I felt pretty satisfied.

So yes, it is doable without outside help or hints, but takes a bit time.

Thank you both for your answers. I guess going to Mechanical first is like a little 'bonus' but isn't 100% necessary. Guess I'm going to have to brute force it.
