I know some may have nostalgic memories associated with Rime, but I always found the age to be weirdly lacking. The puzzle to unlock the age was always more entertaining to me than the age itself, so if you do add it, and considering that it's non-canonical anyways, it might be fun to add some additional features and/or easter eggs.
It wasn't originally in the game, and it wasn't created by Cyan. The reference in Myst IV is a retcon.
realMyst was very much made by Cyan.
Rime is amazing.
What would be nice and what is actually possible are not always the same...
The timestamped video below has the most current info about Rime.
