Oculus Quest is first (non-exclusive), with PC and other VR hardware to follow.
Future platform releases (and the details of what other VR hardware will be supported) will be announced at a later date.
The Quest Platform version of Myst (VR only) will be released first, with the PC version (2D & support for additional VR hardware) to follow.
We plan to bring it to additional platforms following the Quest Platform & PC releases.
Fully redesigned and created from the ground up using Unreal Engine
Oculus Quest is releasing first (non-exclusive), with flatscreen PC and other VR hardware to follow later
When the other VR hardware platforms have been confirmed, we'll be announcing them.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. VR games on Steam tend to work with all PC headsets even when a game does not list certain ones. That's been my experience anyway.
Thanks! I was worried when I saw Oculus is announcing it so much
Heck, I'll take timed oculus exclusive over permanent oculus exclusive any day, as long as I get to use steam and don't need a facebook account or to install oculus home.
I remember being there for the original release and have probably bought every version since. To actually "be there" on Myst Island will be like a living dream!!
I ask as many of us Quest 2 owners benefit from both the standalone version and the PC version (since Quest 2 can connect to a PC to play PCVR games; the Quest 2 is a hybrid VR headset). I'd love to be able to hook my Quest 2 to my gaming PC and replay the game with the higher fidelity graphics once the PC version releases; but I'd only like to purchase 1 copy of the game.
The PC version and other VR hardware versions (TBD/TBA) will follow the Quest release, so there is no information available yet about the game being supported (or not) by "Crossbuy."
If "Crossbuy" becomes a possibility or reality for this title, Cyan will announce it.
