Tips on getting through medallion maze section?
Hi I'm at the section of "The Day the Previous Keeper Disappeared" where you're in the sorta maze-like underground bit where you have to gather the four medallions while being chased by the monster and I'm kinda stuck. Is there some sort of pattern to where the monster goes? Is there any consistent tips/methods of getting through this part without skipping? I've managed to gather three of the four a few times but keep getting caught and it's getting frustrating.

the new update dropped while I was playing and the patchnotes mentioned making a "stealth section" easier, is that this part? Either way I kinda dumbly updated before I was done and now have that same missing executable issue other people have soooo...oh well. Guess I'm taking a break.
You can kinda hide on the ledges.
The doorways without bridges, just hide around the corner.
Just don't get seen because the monster can get around the corner of at least 1 of the ledges.

I didn't think he could cuz I looked at him pretty openly the first time & then after I got all four, he killed me & I ragequit cuz you have to start ALL OVER WITH NONE OF THE MEDALLIONS....
This section was a blight on the whole experience. It was frustrating and basically anti-fun, not to mention it drained away all tension and made the monster completely boring instead of proper spoopy.

You can sneak past it if it's chasing you by doing a hard turn at the corners of each room. It'll stop right next to you but won't do anything, then it'll turn around and patrol somewhere else. If you're at a dead end, it'll run past you and you have to run out before it turns around or it'll spot you and murder you.
This works most of the time unless it's too close to you, then it'll just follow you into the corner and murder you, which doesn't happen often, but it's kind of unpredictable when it does.

The hard part is not getting turned around while doing all this juking, I got the 4 medallions several times and then got et trying to find the final room.

I actually agree with you, I think we may lower the difficulty here even more (yet won't promise it to happen right now). This part is too unpredictable and really unfair, bad design + throwing players into an environment they are not prepared for.

It's not THAT hard.
I came back to that part today & finished the game. Maybe if there were hidy holes or indication that ledges are hiding places & remove ability for the monster to notice you when you're there then that's about it.

Keeping the medallions if you die is also maybe better?
