Bait
How do you change bait types in the fauna traps? The only bait I seem to have is basic bait and I do not see how to make or get the others. WIP perhaps?

The answer is yes, use basic bait to get say spider crabs, then spider crabs to get John Dory. Right now I am also replenishing spider crabs from 2 spots to help in getting more John Dory. Though I have the option to use Spider Crabs or Rosefish (12vs14 percent potency) I have 2 SC to 1 RF with 1 JD in range of my replenishing area. So...numbers.

Short answer, yes use other fish for bait. <3

I'm stuck here too, but I have come to the conclusion you need a fauna trap on an "abundant" habitat to catch those fish for traps on "common" habitats, and then fish from traps on common habitats as bait in traps on uncommon habitats. Havent tested yet though.

You must use an "Abundant" type fish as bait for "Common" fish. "Common" fish as bait for "Uncommon" fish etc etc.

Build a trap on the "Abundant" habitat and it will extract specimens as normal. Build another on the "Common" habitat and if you have stock of the "Abundant" type, you'll be able to select it as the bait fish for use in the "Common" habitat.

Hope that helps!

I'm not sure what you mean by "abundant", but I did notice that when I trapped two habitats of the same type, it became available as bait.
