No pun intended.
Too much hassle mate. Besides it’s best to get an up to date answer. No pun intended.
They said something like "we'll finish it somewhat but not as a game they invest in". Don't expect much.
That said, I can understand them. I played it quite a bit and it was entertaining to explore, to a point, and then just got too easy and boring. But worse, I can't see how it can end up being fun and challenging without A LOT of rework and good ideas. And the game is never going to make up such an investment.
Too bad, but that's life from time to time.
I think they'll fix City Skylines 2 being it's their flagship product, but I can see them dropping other projects to do it. They have to, or we won't buy anymore DLC's, so for that reason I think they'll fix it.
Remember that his is a paradox published indie title. Not a paradox studio product.
We've been working on the current update since the start of the new year, and we'll be posting more info on it tomorrow. You can expect it to go live on the unstable branch in the coming weeks, and on the main branch soon after.
I do apologise for the lack of updates and new content, but we will continue to do our best to complete the game we intended to make, We've had to make difficult choices, and a longer time between updates is part of that.
