Bless Unleashed
PVP is forced on you in this game.
I have researched this game and found out that anyone can attack anyone at any time in contested zones. This means there will be tons of PVP griefing. High level players will just kill low levels all day long for fun. There is a penalty system in the game for killing innocents but all you have to do is just level up 2 characters. One for PVE and one for PVP. So that penalty issues will not matter. They should have been more like wow have pvp server and pve server where on the pve server both parties have to have pvp turned on to fight each other. As it stands right now the person who enables pvp can freely attack anyone who did not want to pvp. This is a game beaker for me. I will not play this game due to PVP is 100% forced on you in this game. Good luck trying to farm gold and mats for crafting by yourself when you will just get killed all the time by others. LOL what a joke. They are going to force you to group up with others to farm together due to there will be a need for protection in numbers.

Actually seems kind of a no brainer to just set it at character creation.. PvP .. or PvE... then you can do what you want.. without having people just flag/unflag.. want to pvp.. have fun.. dont want to... screw off im questing.. For ' organized pvp '.. if there is a guild vs guild system.. special ' pvp ' zone.. make those temporary pvp flagged.. solution SOLVED..

This isnt wow.. with billions of dollars made.. This is a game that failed over an over again.. Why even risk putting off ANY players.. Your brand cant handle that.. =)

This has been a problem in Korean mmos for decades but for some reason, Korean developers still somehow don't realize that forced PVP kills their games...

Ironic considering their crap games keep failing.. in every market they put them in.. an still they dont think ' hmm.. maybe we should try something new? ' heh
It more like game developers fail to realize that some people are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and like to grief others. They also fail to realize it much easier to destroy something than it is to make something thus it only takes 1 griefer to ruin 500 player's experience in a single day.

Point and case 1 hacker in fallout 76 literally stealing everything 500 other players own using a hack thus making the game unplayable for those 500 other users.

Sure this is a completely different game but fact is this guy literally ruining other players experience in a game it what this person considers fun, and even if what he doing is against TOS it doesn't change the end result of his actions before he was banned, and it didn't take much effort for him to do this.

So OW PVP without restrictions will increase a griefer's tools an options for griefing but these players will always find a way to grief you. So demanding features be removed from the game cause you don't like how griefers use them isn't the solution cause the griefers will find a new way to grief you every time. Restrictions should be added to prevent OW PVP from being a tool for griefers but removing it completely is pointless and will have no effect in stopping griefers.

good to know i wont be playing this game . i dont like forced pvp. why some people can have fun on my behalf when we both should been entitle to the same? thank you i pass
You consent to the pvp when you log into the game. It is also not forced. You have the choice to play or not play. It is just a video game, dying is no big deal. Make friends, fight back, ignore the trolls. They leave you alone eventually. Like Redonia said there are worst things like full loot drop on death.
If PVE and PVP servers planned it can solve all this problem but will developers do that? Doubt

No you dont consent to be teabagged by a giant skull over an over again.. Then again its because of people who use STUPID logic like you are using.. That these games die.. come out.. die again.. come out.. an DIE SOME MORE.. There is a intelligent way to put pvp into a game.. 99.999% of these games do NOT do this.. its easier to just be lazy..
you can buy peace scrolls lol
Looking forward to 'forced' pvp. I just hope the gear gap isn't too hard to close for newer players.
i prefer instanced pve/pvp channels like in SWTOR

There is not implementation of the system that I’ve seen that ever works, other than outright separate servers or having to intentionally flag yourself for PVP (BDO’s implementation aint good imo either, it’s the main reason I don’t play that game even though the combat and character designs appeal to me).

Any honest PVP’er will only PVP in a more controlled environment anyways, people that would just randomly attack someone that’s questing or grinding in an open world, is just a griefer, not actually interested in PVP, so I’ve never understood why even have systems in place for such people. Better to just have a server so that everyone goes in expecting it (have the griefers grief each other basically), Guild Wars 2 handled it well imo with its WvW zones for example, as I said, I’ve never understood what is the point of implementing a system that will exclusively be used by people aiming to be a nuisance.
You are far from an "honest pvper" to judge the rest of us. Just because you don't have the dynamic skill to defend yourself in a fight outside of scripted encounters does not mean everyone that fights you in open-world PVP is just a griefer. None you ever complain about too much PvE content or PvP players being forced to do your PvE ♥♥♥♥ in order to progress but god forbid the game doesnt provide for you a literal safe space.
Lineage 2 is the perfect example of the best PvP system. It worked and still work right now and if EVERY game would use that system, all the mmorpg out there (Bless included) with OWPvP would be a better place.. but well... that aside..

The PvP in Bless is said tochange in the future because it will be reworked and anyway, even with the current system, there are malus if you go out and kills indiscriminately.

Also, the ammount of stupid Pkers/griefers in the PvP community is smaller than you can think. Not everyone that loves PvP goes on rampage and kill on sight just because they can.

I can make an example of myself and my whole Clan. We don't go killing everyone just because we can, unless there are serious reasons behind or there is an active war with our Clan. And MANY other Clans are like that... not just us.

I don't understand why all this whining and cry about OwPvP. You get attacked a couple of times by random idiots and then the WHOLE PvP community is a piece of garbage? Please, stop that attitude.

Wants to go out and be fine? Well, it's easy: Find a Clan, go around in teams and griefer just will avoid you like you are sick as hell because they can't do nothing against organized teams. MMMORPGs are supposed to be played with Clans and/or Alliances (when there are) backing your ass, and not going alone picking flowers..

Or change game with one more fitting... Either solution are fine. Games can't satisfy 100% everyone.

I am, because I only pvp in dedicated pvp scenarios, where there may be (at least) an attempt at balance, because of the numbers that are pitted against each other and preferably where gear doesn’t influence a match or is designed for the confines of pvp scenarios, if anything, it is the trash that relies on gear, level, superior numbers, waiting for other players to be in compromised situations, in order to engage, etc, that are asking for something worse than a “safe space”, you ask for handicaps.

Usually an “honest pvp’er” won’t even bother with mmo pvp anyways, they will usually look for shooters, 2d/3d fighters, etc for their pvp fix, while those that look for handicaps or griefing will gravitate towards open world pvp mmo’s.

Balancing of PVP and PVE has never worked, it’s never happened as far as I’ve seen, especially when the same gear is used for both scenarios, in those cases its always laughably broken, and the pvp has no meaning, as someone that likes grinding, I definitely don’t want grinding to be a factor in my favour when it comes to pvp. Basically when I want some exploring, fun killing mobs/bosses, nice looking characters, some coop, I may look for mmos like these, if I want to pvp I’ll go to a game that has that as its only focus.

Imo this is completely false, id argue in my experience it’s the complete opposite, it’s pretty funny actually, I know it’s not an mmo, but considering how much RDO I’ve been playing lately, it makes this statement seem even more departed from reality.

Or change game. Either solution are fines.

Probably what many will do.

As I said solutions are simple, PVP flagging, PVP dedicated servers, etc, so everyone wins, and even game longevity may increase, both types of players being accepted, means a better chance of a bigger community, those that don’t like such solutions, are 100% grifers, cause we know why such solutions don’t satisfy them…
Many early games like Ultima Online in 1997 had open world PVP, in the beginning it was Chaos and really crappy. But they had a system where if you was a PKer and you entered any city areas you was instant killed by guards, and this did not remove your PK tag, only time could. So all loot on you was lost, looted before you could get back, some games made PKing none profitable, but that did not stop people from killing for the fun of it, like they do in a lot of sandboxes now. In many games they do use prisons and other ways to lower PKing, but with some folks, they don't care, they have fun greefing, looting, and just being angry mean.

Solutions that actually work:
PVP zones, you enter you must take responsibility for the out come.
PVP request system, can't openly PVP else the other part says yes.
PVP level capping, you can't attack or PK any one of a lower level as set by the system.
PVP jailing and bounty reward, if a PKer dies by NPC or PC, they wake up in prison for X amount of time, and before prison there is a bounty on them and tag telling every bounty hunter the know area the PKer and if you kill the PKer you get a nice bounty..

These are a few examples, but just doing open no holds PKing is never good in an MMO, and should stay in the RUST style sandboxes
Thanks

The only system that works is as Lineage 2 teach.

-All is white at start.
-If you attack someone you enter in aggressive mode and you become Purple for 60s. Keeping attacking keeps you purple.
-If you kill someone that is NOT purple (so you attack a person that is white and kill him), you get karma points and become RED. If you get killed in this status by people that is either white OR purple (or even by guards) you will drop randomly stuff from your gear and/or your inventory content.
-The more karma points you get by killing (each person killed add a set ammount of Karma points) in red mode, the more stuff you may drop (number increases).
-You are red until all karma points are cleaned and karma points gets cleaned over time and by killing mobs.
-If you are purple and someone attack back at you, the attacker become purple too and that mean both are in PvP mode with NO consequences if some kill the others.
-That system works flawlessly either it was 1v1 or 1.000 vs 1.000 killing each other in open world PvP.

And i hope they will use that system. It is easy to implement and easy to control.

The sight of a Pker being chased by an angry mass of people to punish him and in hope to get their drop was the most fun thing to watch.

I've seen that form of system in a few games, I've seen a system like that with a bounty system also, again, you get a PKer running from a pack of bounty seekers is fun to watch.
