Basic strategy seems pretty consistent so far?

I've reached level 22 and found that, with a few rare exceptions where specific units are disallowed or special tiles, one strategy seems to handle everything:

0/2 or 2/2 apprentices backed up by legions of 2/3 Dart Monkeys.

Currently I can drop 6 apprentices at the origin point of the track, which easily handles all lead bloon popping including camo ones. The dart monkeys have substantial range, see camo, and just VOMIT darts at bloons. I can drop 24 of them at the moment (I think).

By placing the apprentices at the beginning to pop leads, and placing the d.m.s so that bloons have to pass them multiple times, it's handled everything so far up to and including MOAB-type maps. On my first ZOMG tile I used ninjas after running out of apprentices and d.m.s, but it was all handled without needing any other kind of unit

Am I doing something wrong? At the moment I only use things other than apprentice/d.m. when the tile requires it, or I run out of those two units to place.

Once you get into harder levels you'll need to slow down bloon rushes with glue and/or freezing.

Dartling (machine gun) and spike factories are also surprisingly effective towers.

Moab Vac's go a long way in high levels, 1-2 for Moabs, 2-3 for BFBs, 4-6 for Zomgs then use something for cleanup with the vac's like corrosive glue, glaive lord, mortar, razor heli & sniper. All of which can dps balloons that are stunned in the vac if used correctly increasing the vac's potential & essentially turning it into a moab stun machine
