Stuck in access violation crash loop

Ironic, this game being stuck in a deathloop of it's own
The game crashed when I was attempting to load into the complex at noon

Now when I select the option to break the loop/play as colt it attempts to load back into the complex, however after a few seconds of loading I'm greeted with an access violation error as the game kills the steam client process repeatedly

Attempting to reopen steam before the game is closed will lead to it closing again after a few seconds
This has rendered the game basically unplayable

i played 14 hours of this game no problem now after the update i get this crash constantly i cant play a level more than a few minutes with this error everytime

I don't think I did?
I'm fairly sure I just had to wait for a patch, though it's been a long time so I might be misremembering it

Started happening to me as well. While it never ran well, it was running fine for me a few months ago but now it's unplayable. I can barely play without getting the crash.
