Ending questions (spoilers)
I really loved the entire loop idea, it was really well made and kept me engaged while the story kept unraveling new clues, but I feel like the ending was disappointing to say the least unless I missed something. So anyway, I have some questions and I'd appreciate if someone had the answers cuz I've not had enough of this game's lore lol.

1. In good ending why does Colt all of a sudden give up on the idea? I get that they wanted to give the player a choice but going from holding a pistol to Julianna's head to "wanna grab a beer?" 3 seconds later feels incredibly rushed. Didn't she want to brutally kill Colt for the entire game? All of a sudden she calls him dad? No build up, nothing... "you always come around Colt" doesn't do it justice I think.

2. Is it explained anywhere why everyone's memories are also looped except for Colt's and Julianna's?

3. Why does Colt wake up on the beach?

4. What was the point of the other Colts? The more Colts I met the less significance they had. In the end they added pretty much nothing.

5. Is there anything interesting in Frank's house? Thought "Colt's best buddy" would be more interesting but I've only been to his house once to kill him. That's literally it, I saw no incentive to ever come back to go there again, hell, that's the only time I've ever seen him in my entire playthrough.

6. Why is everybody wearing masks?

Any answers would be appreciated!

I actually haven't reached the end of the game in a while so my answers may be wrong. (I recently have been trying to replay the game but have had technical issues)

1. It's just a game they're both playing. Colt never really wanted to end the loop. He just has trouble remembering that fact, and that's also why Julianna "reminds" him to try to end the loop when he forgets, because she wants to keep the game going.

2. I think it's because they're related, but I don't remember if the game ever explicitly gives that as the reason.

3. That's just where he went to sleep before the loop started.

4. I don't remember.

5. The only thing useful about it that I'm aware of is the Classpass dispensers outside which you need for one or more doors elsewhere in the game.

6. I think it's something like the phrase "give a man a mask and he will show his true face." Suggesting that when people are given the opportunity to hide their identity or face consequences without being recognized, they may reveal their genuine thoughts, feelings, or character. In the loop on Blackreef, people can actually do whatever they want without consequence and I guess giving them masks symbolizes that freedom?

Pretty sure #2 is wrong now that I think about it. 2-bit remembers past loops too, so that may be one more unexplained bit of the story or if there's an answer I've forgotten it.
