in all seriousness, where exactly is the 'next-gen' aspect of this that arkane are so proudly swinging about?
The fact that it is on PS5
No way in hell deathloop looks worse dude, go refresh your memory
Compare them for yourself

Which do you think looks better?
Watch some gameplay of it or better yet play it yourself if you have a ps plus subscription and see.
You did not answer the question, which screenshot looks better?
Deathloop isn't a next gen looking game though, that is the point. Still looks and feels like last gen and in some cases worse than last gen.

So true
What's worse, the $60 was not spent purchasing Deathpoop's release-ready launch build, despite what Steam's storefront might have deceived you in to thinking. That does not exist yet. What you actually paid for was a license to test a public beta. Usually, when it comes to playtesting, you're the one getting paid. But not in this case, my dude. Sorry, but you got straight up ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Instead of spending hours diagnosing, solving, tweaking, and trying to get this game into a playable state like I did, just shelve it. You should get PAID to be a beta tester, not the other way around. And if you've put in more than 2 hours of work, good luck getting a refund. You won't. Steam's too greedy for that, and what are ya gonna do about it anyways, dispute the purchase with your bank and lose your entire PC library over $60? Nope. Better luck next time, loser -- Steam, Arkane, and Bethesda might as well have been the kids in middle school who beat you up and stole your lunch money. And you'll never get it back, but you're forced to be friends with them anyways because, I mean, what else are you gonna do? Become an Epic Store fanboy?
But hey if it makes you feel any better, I, too, was swindled out of $60 by the miserable crooks responsible for this agonizing port. Sadly, underneath all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is an amazing game, which I hope to enjoy a few months from now -- though I'm not expecting next-gen or even previous-gen graphics. This isn't Metro Exodus Enhanced or Doom Eternal. I'd compare it more to running an emulated PS3 game like Persona on the highest-end PC money can currently buy.
