Story Lore, Spoilers: Explain Wenjie and Egor time shenanigans

There's a tape that says at the end of the night one Wenjie must always be left behind. This explains why there's only one at the party and only one to complete the car.

The game wikis don't seem to be all that up to date so maybe someone here saw/read something I missed?

Where do the rest come from?

Egor was working on contacting the future. What future? The future outside of the loop? So wouldn't that be the present?

Did I miss a tape where Wenjie's got teleported to the past? I don't get it. Alternate dimension Wenjies?
