Not enough VRAM?
Getting this notice in the options, fairly sure my computer meets the specs though, maybe its using the wrong graphics card? not sure what to do.

I have same message. It's a bug. Game says i am using like 6.4 gb of vram, but actually i am using half of that and game runs fine (i have a 1060 6 GB). No worries and play

yeah but im still getting tons of graphics issues, nothing looks right, everything is tearing, and my computer really seems like its struggling.

Do you play on a laptop by any chance?

I had a while ago the problem that for some reason my laptop throttled its power eventhough I had it plugged in to the power.
Had to change some energy settings in windows to make that work again.

I'd get some rest and take another look with fresh eyes - I doubt this is related to spyware.

Aim for your 1920x1080 resolution with medium textures, low/med shadows and disable anything which involves dynamic resolution scaling. Then play around with the anti-aliasing settings.

the game uses or at least reports to be using about 7-8GB vram in the options menu with every setting maxed, you said you have a 2060 and assuming its the 6GB model you could potentially play at high settings but i would recommend medium-ish since this game kinda runs like crap atm, im sure they will release some fix soon tho to at least fix most of the stutter issues.

I ignored the warning and nothing came of it.

I have the same "problem" with my 1060, game doesn't recognize more than about 5.25 GB of VRAM even though 1060 has 6GB, same as 2060. Minimal VRAM usage (according to that calculations of theirs) is 5.3 (which means even with lowest settings I will get that warning), max in 1080p res is about 6.1. So far I play it with settings that take about 5.7 GB of VRAM and had no issues.

Maybe developers can do an addon with low-res textures?

That means your laptop is probably overheating and bottlenecking the capacity of the CPU and the GPU.

If it has been a while since you opened your laptop and cleaned it you should probably do that asap. Most gaming laptops have the cooler/fans right below the bottom chasis, so if you remove that (which is very easy and there are even videos on YT for most gaming laptops) you should already be able to get the dust out of the fans. Depending on how old it is you should replace the cooling paste on the CPU/GPU aswell every 2-3 years, but that usually requires to take off the cooler itself, so need to be abit more careful there.

Cleaning Laptops is extremely important and many people dont do it or just try to clean it from the outside, which isnt effective to get the dust out.

You can also undervolt your CPU with tools like ThrottleStop to lower the heat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNt9L3BWOFo&t=183s

Put the Texture details on High, I think the vram notice should go

This is normal, the game detects the "available" Vram and not all of them the rest vram are already in use

So something things I've noticed, if I play on my laptop screen instead of my generic external monitor, it runs a little better, optimizing the settings using geforce has most everything on low but its okay enough on my smaller laptop screen, which is frustrating that the other screen just can't handle the game I guess. Seems to be a great game but this is probably the worst optimized game for PC I've seen in years.

Does it even make sense that an external monitor would struggle running the game while the laptop monitor doesnt on the same settings?

Does the laptop screen have the same native resolution as the external monitor?
Hopefully it's not using the iGPU but you can do the following:

- Open the Nvidia Control Panel (not GFE) and go to 3D settings.
- Add Deathloop then scroll down to the Preferred Graphics Processor.
- Set that to: Nvidia High Performance
