Plot hole? Why does Colt want to break the loop and kill everybody?

Everyone on the island does see loop as paradise.
They all did know what they sign up for.

He was the Head of Security for the Program,
he did even know the true nature of the Program

It is never explained why he does want to stop it.

Problem is you're meant to remember the day that's looping. Otherwise your life just stopped and you wouldn't know, because it's looping.

But he does remember the day? Also there is a scientist who works to help people remember their days lol.

It just sounds like he lost his mind or something.

Pretty sure it was boredom. Same reason we eventually quit the game, we get bored with the loop. Sure it is fun as hell figuring it when you first start the game, but it inevitably gets duller and more predictable with time, he feels the same as the player.

Because the visionaries are sick and twisted.

The eternites don't know that everyday is the exact same day. that they're doomed to repeat the same actions for the rest of time. They also don't sign up to end up in Aleksis' meat grinder, used in Wenjie's experiments, (although some did sign up to be gassed by Harriet, but that's a different issue). Nothing about the AEON program is humane and Colt realizes it.

It could also be that he has flashbacks to when he was stuck in the loop the first time around. He only came back because he got sweet talked into it and he's changed his mind in the mean time. Seemingly that is. From what Juliana says he does seem to change his mind every so often.
