The eternites don't know that everyday is the exact same day. that they're doomed to repeat the same actions for the rest of time. They also don't sign up to end up in Aleksis' meat grinder, used in Wenjie's experiments, (although some did sign up to be gassed by Harriet, but that's a different issue).
