DEATHLOOP
Error 0xC0000005 Access Violation
Anyone figure this out? Because it's extremely annoying and I can no longer get into the game. It's happened before but I was eventually able to play. It always seems to do with starting right before Updaam. It has nothing to do with Vsync, I've tried every option. Turned it off in game, turned off in AMD settings, etc. Nothing. I just can't play anymore. Anyone figured it out? I've gotten pretty far and can't get a refund and can't play the game.

Nope. Their Void engine is just simply trash. Always has been. This thing's just another sloppy port. Even if you can manage to avoid these Access Violation crashes. There's still a chance of getting softlocked in game.

That was my last straw after losing over an hour of my progress, again.
It’s awful. I’ve gotten so far too. It sure would be nice if they attempted to fix it. God forbid.
I had this problem and it, as well as other general PC problems, was related to a bad stick of RAM. If you have multiple sticks, try swapping em out and see if it persists. I read alot about this error when I was getting it and none of their solutions solved my problem.

I hope this helps.
I was just about to post thread whether crashes got fixed and saw this :(

This must of been my issue when I was trying to play it back in Dec. My SSD and 2 Ram sticks went bad plus I had to wipe windows.
The game suffers from GPU VRAM leaks. Hence the ♥♥♥♥ performance too. It's got nothing to do with your ram modules.

You can minimize the crashes by not using the in game Vsync but that may as well be a placebo judging by user reports. Like i said, even if you do manage to avoid them. You're still bound to run into soft locks.
I’ve tried all sorts of disabling Vsync in AMD, enabling in-game, vice-versa. I sent out a ticket to Bethesda and they suggest Chkdsk and Windows Memory Diagnostics tool. I knew it wasn’t either but ran them just to say I did. No errors. AMD just released updated drivers yesterday and for some reason that got around the crashing. So far, so good. Fingers crossed until next time.
Nope! Spoke too soon. Crashed again upon entering Updaam, always.
I turned off Vsync and capped the game to 60fps and that worked for me, because the game always crashed if I left the frame rate uncapped regardless of other settings.
Restart between each mission. As you progress in the game the memory leak only gets worse. This is is the only solution I know of that works, and I have more RAM than I know what to do with. 24 gigs of VRAM, 32 gigs of 3600 cl16 dual-stick system RAM, and a pagefile in Windows set to 2.5x that. Also two Samsung 980 pro SSD's, 1tb each, both running in Gen 4 NVME mode.

If you use RTSS to examine the game's memory usage, you'll see that it doesn't matter what your settings are -- the memory usage fills up FAST and within an hour is usually around 24GB. So don't try to play two missions in a row without restarting, or you risk losing potentially around an hour of progress since the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game doesn't support saving during missions.

And don't let anyone give you grief about your hardware or settings either, this is just frustrating as ♥♥♥♥. It's been a year since the game launched and this is STILL an issue -- Arkane has neither fixed the memory leak problem, nor have they added the ability to save during missions. Any apologists for a game with these issues is an idiot, so just disregard them.

Its one year after release when its going to join PC/Xbox Games Pass. A little more bugs might eventually be removed until then. Thx for confirming the "play only one mission" tipp.
Even after the update. It usually happened at Updaam. But it happened at another area, I don’t remember. Thanks for the tip. Yes my system specs are totally fine for this game. Even with all the crap surrounding Cyberpunk, it only crashed on me once and that was at the last mission after like 40-50 hours. Had a few bugs here and there but nothing serious. Deathloop crashes often. And yes, I hate games that don’t let you save any time you want. Sometimes I don’t have 40 minutes to invest playing, I’ll have to go. Just let me save and pick right up where I left off.
I've further tested the game on multiple PC's (my girlfriend's and my brothers), and a good friend of mine ALSO decided to give the game another go the new patch. It seems that no matter what your specs, settings, hardware, or any other variables I can think of, make a difference: this issue has NOT been solved, as I've tested this across enough systems now and NOTHING stops the ram leakage. At least, nothing that I (or anyone else, from what I've read online) know can fix it.

Suuuuch a disappointment. And even if there wasn't a memory leak, WHY in god's name are saves not allowed? The amount of times I've enountered invisible walls that shift can't get you over, accidentally fallen into water, exploded a mine or destroyed a key piece of equipment accidentally, even with infinite reprises, you STILL feel like you're walking on eggshells during parts of the games -- especially the freakin' fia section. I could NOT for the life of me figure out what arbitrary actions would cause her to destroy the entire island. I just kept retrying the mission as stealthily as possible and eventually it worked.

It really does take the fun out of it when you can also lose 30 minutes of progress from accidentally picking up a dynamite instead of the ammo next to it, because if you have auto-equip enabled and forget -- boom, you're either dead, or hopes of a stealth-based goal being met are out the window.

That's just... not fun. Not allowing saving doesn't make the game more difficult, it just makes it more stressful. And less enjoyable to play.
Had to go back to Updaam. Crashing again. I just cannot play this game. It's garbage. I've provided a screenshot of the error message twice. They just give me some nonsense about checking my drive for errors Tier 1 crap. No other game does this. Windows is fine, Steam is fine, programs are fine. Deathloop is not fine. They can develop a game but can't figure out why it's crashing with their own error code?
