The famous infamous "access violation" error.
Hope they get this fixed soon.
The game now starts again, after Bethesda support assisted me in running several diagnostics on my system.
The one that apparently fixed the issue was a SFC scan (run sfc /scannow from command prompt).
Hope this helps!
Glad you're able to continue playing :-)
Not knowing about an error message in your case it's hard to say what the cause is/was.
Access violation error can be memory corruption, both volatile RAM/VRAM or persistent drive storage. Sfc and steam integrity check address the drive storage.
Furthermore, it can be from game's bad memory management itself. Or any other process messing with the memory, like a copy protection. Who knows, that's up to bethesda to analyze and communicate.
As always it's recommended to close any unused software to free as much ressources as possible for gaming.
Do you have the Windows page file enabled? Sounds like you ran out of memory maybe.
Imo that has nothing to do with firefox, but with deathloop itself. I had one crash, and one major fps drop, yet in more than 70 hours of playing. Pretty random.
