Fiddled around a bit, and I can't guarantee it's the same issue (I had error 0xc0000005 in the Windows Event Viewer), but I did get it working. It's a bit of a pain, but here it is.
To make the game launch, you need to, in the listed order:
1. Use the Nvidia Control Panel to set vsync on the deathloop exe file to off (or fast, which might work) and FPS limit to 60 (Maybe more works if your screen supports it)
2. Create a file called "blackreefConfig.cfg" in the folder "C:\Users\<user>\Saved Games\Arkane Studios\Deathloop\base\"
3. After creating this file, launch Geforce Experience and click "Optimize" on DEATHLOOP (This will create a valid config inside the .cfg file. Since the game never launches, the game itself can't do this, you need Geforce Experience)
4. Now, reboot, do not start any programs. If you start for example Chrome, you need to reboot again. Launch the game. Have fun. (You can launch Chrome after you have launched the game)
Also, if you have vsync on in the in-game video settings and run proper fullscreen, other glitches might exist, better get used to tearing unless the developer un-abandons the game.
In place of step three, if someone does not have Geforce Experience, or if it does not let you click "Optimize" after creating the .cfg file, here is an initial example config, but I have not tried this directly myself and would recommend going the Geforce Experience route if possible.
Hopefully you can get it working, I wish you luck! I'll come back if I discover anything else at some point.
do you have a screen with a refresh screen greater than regular refresh rate at 60/75 Hz ?
try to go Nvidia panel control and set Display / Change Resolution -> refresh rate 60hz...
this has been fixed a black blinking screen problem for me : (rtx 3070 / Foxit screen 21/9:100Hz)
A) don't spend your time reinstalling game / test integrity : it's not the problem...
00) are you running windows 10 or 11 ?
01) your main disk is a HDD or SSD ?
02) game is installed on HDD ou SSD ?
03) which mother board, and bios version ? (use free softawre CPU-Z : tab mother board)
04) the problem occurs only for this game ?
1) in task bar ( wich programs are running ?) don't miss the hidden icons...
2) before launch the game , try to close softwares like "Nahimic" (or third party sound software), "Samsung magician" ,etc... and generally any useless program ...
3) press Ctrl+Alt+Suppr and show task manager, try to kill useless prog and task (network, screen utility, sound utility, and so on...)
3) are you using
a) admin accout ?
b) or user account (not admin) but "running prog as admin"
a) is not the same as b)
4) reinstall nvidia drivers (only if version available is greater than yours)
5) reinstall all amd drivers (mother board / chipset, network, usb, etc...,and so on)
5bis) do you have dragon center working ? (don't install it if you don't have it)
6) reinstall microsoft directX (serch for dxwebsetup.exe) or https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=35
Thank you for commenting your help. I know your trying to be helpful, but these are just basic troubleshooting tips that I have done long ago.
