[BUG] Stuck in the menu

Steps:
1. Open menu;
2. Change marker;
3. Press Esc.

After that list of markers disappear but menu elements (like game network status at the top-left corner and "esc-arrow" at the bottom-left corner) were still visible. Pressing esc did nothing. Game was running but I stuck in the menu and can't do anything. Eventually I discovered that pressing "q" and "e" allows to switch betwee menu sections. But this didn't help me to esc from menu.

Awful game-breaking issue. I meet it just once, but it is absolutely critical because may break player's run.

I get stuck in the menu as well when playing as Julianne. Never had that yet with Cole, only with her online at times. Hope this bug gets fixed cause it pretty mush soft locks me in the game.

This happened to me last night. Between this and the access violation crashes, the game's unplayable.

Just had this happen to me after getting the ability to harvest. The UI design is pretty damn bad without the bugs, but with them it just becomes atrocious.
That and the sound drop outs and occasional hitching (which I can only assume is thanks to our friend Denuvo), I think I'm going to have to shelve this for the time being.

Arkane, I love you guys, but sort your ♥♥♥♥ out.

I've had this same problem since the recent update. Has there been any acknowledgement of this? Pretty demoralizing to be playing and then being unable to continue.

Same problem here. I play as Colt. Esc icon is responsive (animates on hover) but no reaction on click or esc key press. Can't do anything except restart the game.
I have pause in menu enabled in options.

Shame devs
