Have you tried -dx11 in command line, like some other games do?

Windows 7 died years ago. Windows 11 come out in under a month. Do yourself a favor and get the free upgrade

A significant number of DX12 games work on Win7 if you just drop the DX12 dll in the same folder as the executable. You can source the DLL by extracting it form a Linux distro. Steps here:

It's worth a shot, but it's been working less and less in recent months so I'm just holding off until I can source parts for a new PC, which will come with holding my nose and downgrading to Win11. On the upside, I will get to take up the hobby of going into Windows 10 troubleshooting threads and being an unhelpful ♥♥♥♥-head.
