Deathloop was slow at first, then it got pretty nice and then...
I read the mixed reviews but plenty people said that this was still fun so I bought it to try it out myself.
1. First ~3 hours - First off I liked the visual fidelity and the art style a LOT. 'Luckily' I was not getting any performance hit as I started after the recent patch. But THAT IS IT. These 3-4 hours were a drag. Without spoiling anything, this is the longest tutorial section I have experienced. And I am on a game finishing spree lately so I have been playing a lot of games. At this point, I was annoyed and thought - "Man, even these mixed steam reviews are too forgiving" They could have explained all these things in a really concise way. And if people refunded after playing first 2 hours, I can not blame them.

2. The next 5 hours - Again without spoiling much, I started getting powers, new guns and upgrades and accessed new locked areas and understood the general gameplay LOOP. New areas were stunning to look at, guns were so fun. Powers I am not blown away by because I played Dishonored 1 from start to finish in the last few days, right before buying DEATHLOOP. Dishonored 1 is 9 years old at this point but dayum what a game. Still the powers and their upgrades in DEATHLOOP are nice enough. And at this point my thoughts were - Man, this game doesn't deserve its Mixed/Mostly positive(barely) rating. What are these people complaining about? What a fun game. THIS GAME KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND ....

3. Uh oh... - My last few hours in this game have started to feel like a drag. I have all the powers. My 3 guns and their countless boring upgrades are good enough to take out anything and everything in this game. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, Revisiting the same 4 areas has started to feel so boring already. I am not enthusiastic about visiting the same places over and over. I know there are no amazing powers left for me to gain. There are no challenging boss fights waiting for me and I am not going to visit any new places. Colt's voice actor is cool but the script and dialogues are so annoying and childish and very weird if you know who are Colt and Julianna.
I WILL finish this game and extract all the possible juice from this game but this is such a mixed bag. Maybe I am feeling this way because I played Dishonored 1 just before this and that game was so exciting from start to finish, giving me so much freedom with plenty of powers and ways to proceed, and with a story and the consequences of my actions that kept me interested until the very end.
I played it last week and I wanna play it again. On the contrary, I can't wait to finish DEATHLOOP and never touch it again.

Nah this is the weakest Arkane game in a decade. It is not bad, but it is too repetitive for sure.

Finished the game in less than 18 hours (some of my playtime is playing as Julianna) so yeah it's a bit of a steep price. Still, it was enjoyable. It's not a bad game by any means. The levels becoming familiar is both a blessing and a curse, as part of the game's plot is you figuring out how to optimize your killing sprees effectively.

Some replayability would've been nice. Maybe a way to spice up new playthroughs with modifiers or something. Remember Mutators?!
