Game wont launch at all. No error, no black screen.

Whenever I go to launch the game from Steam, and click the Play button, nothing happens. It says "Running" for about 10 seconds and then switches back to "Play"

Already did all the basic troubleshooting steps and updating everything. Seriously stumped on how to fix this.

Anybody else run into this?

I'm having the same issue. Have tried all the troubleshooting steps, redownloaded game, reinstalled drivers, closed every other program, run as administrator. I have a very top end PC and nothing seems to change the behavior. I hit play, pops up the steam Launching window, and then it goes away and the button changes back to Play. Deathloop never even shows up in Task Manager as a program that's running.

Yeah same issue, can sometimes get to the arkane logo and that it. Cant even load menu in ;((

Doubt this will help anyone but if your game is insta crashing you might want to check to see if you have the Honey app downloaded. I've had issues with that program interfering with other programs on my computer before. Just check to see if you've downloaded anything new recently. any apps or programs and start unistalling them until you find the issue. Do a system reset if nothing else works. Thats how I got to play games that were insta crashing for me..it was a program I couldn't remember so resetting worked. Sorry if this doesn't help.

Yeah no luck. Just to be sure, I restarted my computer and made sure nothing else was running around in the background. Still nothing rip

I recall it being best to restart steam before playing a pre-loaded game

I had the same issue and steam worked out on me so I had to restart my computer and that solved the issue and I've been playing since

Also make sure you're drivers are up today just in case, mine weren't

This won't solve this particular problem.
I could play it yesterday, now I can't. No error, no log files where we can see what's wrong. No overlay programs. Windows is updated (lol, as if that would solve anything), same with drivers.
You likely just got lucky, same way I just got unlucky.

The game needs patching, it's not a user problem.

Due to the number of people having this issue its most likely an obscure system configuration issue that includes all hardware and software. This is a sign of a badly optimized or rushed game... which is Bethesdas specialty.

I dont have the issue, but i have with previous new releases from Bethesda. There might be a way to adjust .ini files and slightly improve the odds but at that point i would refund the game. It isn't our job as consumers to fix a broken product sold as new.

I have a 34" UW, so 3560x1440, also running 2 monitors but I have a pretty basic setup, I'm not OC'ing or running rivatuner or anything else.

after trying everything i literally still cant get the game to even start. Doesn't even pop up in task manager. Anyone have any suggestions?
