A fix for slow download speeds.
This was a fix found for speeding up download speeds. This was found for the MS Store version but should also cover the steam version.

Speed Issues | TCP Autotuning Configuration
Please read the following tips to speed up your download speeds.
First Tip
- Search for the Command Prompt on your computer and run it.
- Type netsh interface tcp show global
- Look for Receive Windows Auto-Tuning Level

If it says: Disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

Second Tip
- Search for the Command Prompt on your computer and run it.
- Type netsh interface tcp show global
- Look for Receive Windows Auto-Tuning Level

If it says: Enabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

Final Note
Now restart the simulator and see if it works. If it doesn't work for you, you can always put it back to however you had it.

I just wanted to add my $0.02 since I also had this issue from day one, and none of the advice I saw online (including the NETSH command above) made a difference.

A few minutes ago while today's Hotfix was downloading (slowly of course), I was poking around on my HP laptop and decided to check out HP Command Center, which I hadn't looked at until now. It has a tab called "Network Booster", which was set to "Auto". I changed that to "Custom" and set the priority of FlightSimulator.exe from "Medium" to "High". Bingo! My download speed of the Hotfix immediately shot up from ~2 Mbps to ~20 Mbps.

If anyone else is having slow download issues, check if your computer came with bloatware like HP Command Center that may be unnecessarily throttling. It really shouldn't be called "Network Booster", it should be called "Network Throttler" since it degraded performance when there was plenty of bandwidth available.

I know this was a old topic I made, but this fix never worked for me and the only way I was able to finally download it was not using WiFi and using cable plugged straight in.
