I would definitely hold off on investing to much more more into fs2020, until more infor comes out, I highly doubt addons for 2020 won't work with 2024,as there is a lot of stuff to just abandon fs2020 wise on the Microsoft/asobo side, I have not heard anything offical that its a brand new game, but it's probably going to be a paid add on to the foundation of fs2020,

TLDR, be careful at the moment, but don't get too carried away by just the idea that its going to ruin things. theres not enough official info to know either way.

Even if all these greedy ♥♥♥♥♥ had 100 trillion they would still be scheming and screwing over people for more money because it's never enough! They need more every year, every year the profit margin has to grow, it's just about getting more more more more, consume consume consume.

I'd really be stunned if they abandoned all payware on FS2020 and not allow it to work on 2024. It would be a big betrayal, I just can't see them doing it. I think this is going to be more like a Train Sim World model where a new game comes out every few years but they make big efforts to keep the DLCs working.

It's not said that Asabo/MS is going to discontinue the support for 2020 after 2024's release.
It's very likely that you will still get patches and fixes for FS2020 till 2030, as well as using the real time data. If they do so, they didn't lie

It's also more than unlikely that FS2020 will to stop working after FS2024 got released.
