SLOW DOWNLOAD...

i want to update the game to 1.8.3.0 but is so freakinnnn slow..i got 50Mbps internet speed and when i see task manager it's only take 1.5-1.8 Mbps to download the update...wtf..ANDDD when i
open Youtube it got 40-45 Mbps in task manager....

i already type "netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal" in CMD...but it didn't work

Its mostly downloading bits and unpacking them directly. Thats why you dont see a lot of usage.

Wrong. A friend downloaded it in 10 minutes while I was in a 5h struggle. Whatever you do OP don't even think about switching file paths or uninstalling. Fight through the slow download. It will finish at some point. I caused a royal mess trying to fix it.

There is no way to fix it. There is some bottleneck affecting certain people. I am from Wisconsin if that info helps, same speed of 50mbps. Now My game is gone and I called it quits. I'm telling you I made a royal mess. I even went psycho and got emails from mods.

I messed with files in c drive trying to move my game. I corrupted my windows and had to reinstall. Now if I want to play again I have to download 110GiB at 250KB per second. Thats a 3 day download. I'm putting the game down for now but it is worthy for me to tell you to just forgive it and let it go slow.

I have some stuff to tend to so I am leaving the forums now. Good luck.

Same for me, I have a 50Mbps network and the download seems to be going at around 150-200 Kb/s. I tried that command line already but it worked only for a short time, seems my pc is updating the network from my router every now and then. I went away from the PC and when I checked on it in two hours it was at only 1.3 gigs out of 16.

been a whole day and it seem the patcher stuck looping on pc-fs-base-bigfiles-0.1.63.fspatch for me
and yes, the download speed is piss poor around 2Mbps for someone with 50Mbps internet

Honestly, I get roughly 10mbps tops split between 5 people. I live in Canada and started the download at 4:30pm yesterday. I had left it running all night and when i checked it this morning it was stuck no movement what so ever for a good 10 minutes. I pause the download and restart the game, after loading it then says only 58GB left remaining of the 110GB total. So i felt if i go to work and come home it for sure should be finished. Got home at 4:30PM and yet again..... NO MOVEMENT! I have another 21GB to install and I have just about had enough! Is it anything that I'm doing or the way i have it filed? Only thought to post on this discussion because this sim is the only "Game" that i currently enjoy!!

The patch itself is over 26GB in size not 15GB.

Decompressing the fs-base patches alone will take quite a while, during which no downloading takes place.

Bare that in mind.

The patch does not re-download the original 150GB files, unless you have moved or changed the file paths from the original paths.
