For the curious, here's a full list of resolutions the game supports (according to the game's XML files), in order from least-wide to most:
1280x1024 (5:4)
640x480 (4:3)
800x600 (4:3)
1024x768 (4:3)
1280x960 (4:3)
1600x1200 (4:3)
1228x768 (16:10)*
1280x800 (16:10)
1440x900 (16:10)*
1680x1050 (16:10)
1920x1200 (16:10)
1366x768 (16:9)*
* = resolution that didn't show up on my version of the game
I've tried a few tests just now, including setting my desktop res to 1366x768 then restarting PQ, with no luck. I'm not entirely sure the final retail version of the game supports it; just because it's in the game files doesn't necessarily mean it made the cut.
If it's any consolation, you really don't get much more with a wider aspect ratio other than some pillars filling out the extra space on most screens. Playing it in windowed 1024x768 is the way to go, as that's the res the game was designed for. Any bigger and the game just stretches all the sprites and backgrounds to fit the window size.
