Help with Build UT2004_Build_[2004-11-11_10.48] error and run time error.
Okay this is the main error I get, this game has worked for three years with no issues and suddenly this, I helped my friend fix his with this error by going through forms and his works, I did the same fixes and nothing works. I even went through these 1-30 steps and nothing works please help! I love this game and it worked fine about 2:00 today and I tried to launch around 4 and crash. Could be the Steam Workshop but I have no idea how because it happend shortly after workshop content was being added.

Looks similar to this problem

there might be a solution in that discussion.

Did not see anything I have not seen before sadly, thanks for trying though. I have searched a lot of threads and people keep fixing it in ways I tried and failed. Even tried -windowed, verifying game cache, deleting the system file and re verifying, launching in compability mode and admin, just admin, just compability mode, creating shortcuts, closing steam and deleting clientregistry.blob and relaunching steam, restarting, redownloading. Nothing works it was fine earlier I do not understand why it just decided to not work.

There must have been some minor update because others are showing up with the similar problems recently. All seem to have a similar Pentium rig with Intel HD.

A friend of mine did yesterday and we fixed his. Not sure why mine started but it happened slowly after downloading some new maps for the workshop when it began to download ingame it froze for a second and I forced shut it down because I had to leave my laptop and when I came back to play again it started this. So could the workshop be a part of it all? And if so how would I stop it?

I haven't the slightest idea why. Did you update to Windows 10 recently?
Loken Wolfrik Apr 10, 2016 @ 7:00pm
No I am windows 8 have been for awhile I made sure my computer would not auto update to windows 10 I hate windows 10 and 8 I miss windows 7.

I heard Windows 10 is full of spyware, so I don't blame you for not liking it.
One person suggested the following. It might be worth reading.
HyPNOS
This is from the Unreal2004 thread with the same issue with a possible fix, since KF is using the same engine it may work for you.

I will check it out, I will let you know how it works.

Ok. I asked Mr.Jugzy if he found a solution yet, and for him to post the solution if he did.
Loken Wolfrik Apr 10, 2016 @ 7:08pm
Sadly it looks like the fix for that is already fixed for Killing floor for that they needed to add RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice to the .ini file but that is already in the Killing Floor file.
Loken Wolfrik Apr 10, 2016 @ 7:25pm
On every single time it says that? I think it has four of them that say that.
Loken Wolfrik Apr 10, 2016 @ 7:26pm
Changed them all to false, sadly no change
zaoth Apr 10, 2016 @ 8:23pm
ok maybe you already did it, but do it again. If you get a different Error post it here again.

-delete Cache folder
-delete Map folder
-delete killingfloor.ini + user.ini
-set downloadregion to UK-London (others should be the same, but a try is it worth)
-verify cache files
-start game

in your current Error is written (KFGUIController Package.KFGUIController, Function KFGUI.KFGUIController.InitializeController)

do u have a Controller/Gamepad plugged in? If so remove it.
