NOT
-Load when windows load (is not a windows service)
-run when the game is not loading

DOSE
-unload the launch.exe when the game terminates

So Unlike battly.eye, Denuvo and EasyAnti cheat (which are all windows services) I not sure what SARD actually dose..

dose it monitor the games memory blocks or the files??? or is it like CODS ANTI CHEAT that dose basically nothing....??

even COD WARZONE Ricochet Anti Cheat isn't a Windows service, and only runs when the game loads , and I still don't know what that one dose ether, ..cuz that game full of cheats ...

Doesn't matter OP, it's kernel-level. Which means if there's ever an exploited backdoor to Sard, your PC is extremely at risk of being hijacked or worse, bricked. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. User mode cannot see what Kernel does, but Kernel can see everything.

Sard won't stop any cheating. I thought we learned this by now with modern PvP or specific PvE games forcing kernel anti-cheats down everyone's throats? They're almost useless, so therefore completely unnecessary.

Hmmmm....after updating TDUSC today, my PC out of nowhere restarted.
Okay, PC restarted, starting TDUSC, SARD pops up and I agree, and BAM!....
NORTON KICKS IN with an IDP Generic virus warning and put SARD runner into quarantine.

Now, that is a nice surprise.
Wow, after trying to update the missing 3 quaratined files, my PC/Norton refuses (?) to write them on the NVMe (write error, yeah sure).
So I cannot play TDU SC atm, probably need to de/re-install the whole game.

THAT EXPERIENCE ALREADY SUCKS, tbh.

A restart finally did the trick.
Well, I don't worry about any virus or anti-cheat or trap doors, that Norton 360 is so passive agressive. Kinda impressed.

TDU SC runs again, absolutely no FPS loss due to SARD, it seemed to actually run even better than before. Performance optimization?? Not a single dip anymore.

yeah it works on linux just fine. i immediately put up a report on protondb when the server maintenance was over. i think the anticheat is running in a basic mode instead of the kernel level that they advertise on their site.

And if you'd dug it you'd know, that you would need to first download shady stuff on your own in order to leverage the exploit, which makes the bypass completely irrelevant, unless you're dumb. This is a non-issue for 99.9999999% of users.

Problem is with games, that let's injecting code from within them, like the infamous TERA Online chat exploit.

the shady stuff in question is kernel level anti cheat. that software has ring 0 access to your pc, which is even more access than you do. it was abused and borderline irremovable malware and your here trying to say its not a big deal. come on man. kernel level anticheat is malware in itself that stays running on your pc even after the game is uninstalled
