Making Hay
Just getting started with FS22 and I'm pretty noobish. On my map I start out with a field of alfalfa ready to harvest but I'm not sure what the proper procedure is. I gather that I have to first mow it, but then I'm confused about whether to next go over it with a tedder or a windrower. Any advice appreciated.

Tedder first.

After tedding do I have to wait a day for the hay to dry or can I just immediately windrow and then bale?
A Tedder tosses the hay helping it to dry (in real life that would typically be done more than once). The windrower "rows up" the ready hay into neat (or not so neat depending on you) rows ready to be baled.

irl you would allow some drying time after tedding, but in the game, you are welcome to windrow directly after tedding. Then you can bale right after.

Thanks for the info, everyone. There's so much to learn in this game.
