Autodrive + CoursePlay are much better than the builtin AI IMHO.

And in HO of pretty much anyone who's used them
CoursePlay will create a path on a field that your hired hand will use to harvest, bale, mow, fertilize, etc. with options like how many headers to create.
Together they allow you to automate harvesting. Your harvester will follow the course and harvest the crop. When it's full it will call the hired hand driving the trailer and fill it up. Then the hired hand will take the trailer to the sell point, unload it and return to the field for another load, all while the harvester continues to harvest.
And that's really just the basics. I wouldn't play without them.
