I've tried it with base trailers and modded trailers. Same result.
How well are your logs stacked?
Do you maintain stable fps?

Are you overloading the trailer?
Some combinations can (safely) handle surprisingly low amounts of load.
Be it pallets, logs etc the trailer and puller combinations can only handle so much before the physics start to go wonky.
Ofc there WILL be some cases where logs or phantom branches (think they're going to) clip into each other and cause physics calculations where there should be none.
Not sure what has been broken in last updates but certainly it seems something is slowly going haywire. This issue seems to be increasing in frequency more GIANTS add into the game.
I don't mean to brag, but I happen to pride myself on loading everything manually, and making it look perfect. It's almost a guilty pleasure. And my FPS is stable.
I guess I am guilty of loading my trailers as full as I can. Usually flush with the tops of the poles along each side of the trailer.
But my confusion remains. I know for an absolute fact, that when the platinum expansion came out, I always loaded my trailers as full as possible and I NEVER had this issue. And now suddenly I can't go 100 feet without my logs tweaking out.
I know the feeling. Forestry is one of my favorite parts of the game, and a well loaded trailer is a thing of beauty. I think that people who use autoload on trees are totally robbing themselves.
As far as your problem goes, I feel like I've heard it before, maybe on fs19, but a solution doesn't come to mind. I'll do some looking around, and see if I can dig up an old thread.

I don't know if Stenleh44 found a solution, but he's still quite active on the forums. Perhaps he has some insight.

Alright, this seems stupid but I guess it's an overloading issue. I stopped loading early on this load. I could have easily added another 7-8 logs. I made it all the way to the mill BUT, the logs still wiggled a little bit out of place just not nearly as much as before. I guess it's a fix...
You might want to check out FDR Modding if you haven't already. They have good equipment and maps specifically for logging who's equipment and trees have been optimized for the experience.
I second this. He’s got the physics figured out with his maps and equipment. It’s logging at its finest.
Hard core logging though….no farming.
I checked out FDR. If ya'll like their stuff that's totally fine, I'm not here to tell anyone their dumb for liking something and I totally appreciate the amount of work they've put into their mods to make a good game better. But none of the FDR stuff is enjoyable so far.
None of their machines work with default controls. With their key binding mod on and off I still get no bindings, default controls don't work, and i have to manually input everything. I even tried to use a vanilla tree harvester and clearly everything FDR is designed to work with FDR mods only. I just tried to cut down a tree and my harvester was flopping all over the place. If I could get their machines to work without having to manually input the controls for everything, I'd totally use them.
And second, the map quality. They all feel like rough drafts of maps that never got finished. The quality feels like a notch or three below the vanilla maps. They are all super basic and lack any sense of realism and attention to detail.
Trust me, I want to like it. But, it ain't working out so far.
