Tree Harvester Question

I purchased a chunk of real estate with trees on it. Got a tree harvester. However, there's no option in the menu to actually cut the tree. I watched a YT video to learn how to use the machine but it's not allowing me to cut.

Not every tree can be cut with a tree harvester, if it's not straight like a pine tree or similar you can only cut it with a chainsaw. Also it depends on the length of the tree stump, try cutting it a bit higher.

I grabbed onto a large tree and was able to cut it. I guess if they're too small, it won't work. Now, all I have to do is get the logs onto the truck. What a PITA!

I use the Rottne forestry harvester and set it to cut 7.5m, then use the autoload wood trailer for quick pickup. Not the best combo if your going down the start from scratch route though

Highly recommend the Ponsse Scorpion King mod as well. That harvester will let you cut the trees into longer lengths.
