How or where to sell wood logs in the old sawmill or the nearby storage?

I have a Trailer full of Logs.
I am still confused if this counts as wood.
I went to the screen where we can see who buys wood and for what prices. It said storage and old sawmill pay the best.
I know how to sell the logs in the sawmill near the city. but the selling points in the old sawmill seem strange. Do they not accept long logs and how am i supposed to bring wood to the selling point at the water?
I am confused.

Any tips are appreciated for this DLC.

I have cut down dead trees into 5m logs, took them to Old sawmill and dropped them in the water, After selecting sell wood it went through the motions but I did not get any money in my account and sale did not show in the finances screen, is the normal for Dead Wood?

Yes. I recommend shredding dead wood into wood chips.

Selling wood logs is probably one of the least profitable things you can do. I got 0 € for some 5 m logs and like 500 € for others. Either get factories and turn them into planks and
those to other products or just turn them into woodchips. Woodchips sell for 4x more on this map(like 2k € for 1k liters during winter).

As far i know the longer and propably heavier the logs the more they are worth. But lenght was important according a guide i have seen before this update came out.
Also in other threads it was mentioned that dead trees are not worth anything. Maybe they are as chips?

Ok so in the game i found a note that said for selling at the storage you need first to put the wood into a container that we can buy at the trader. then sell the wood while in a container. These will also be used to sell on a train. Not sure if exclusively but for the storage it sounds like exclusiv in containers.

Try to look at the type of tree. If it says deadwood, I think its worthless. You get @16 bucks for it. This deadwood could be useful for wood chips, I haven't tested this yet.

I also found that in the starting area the trees about 35meters high give much more then the smaller once. Which makes sense. Let them grow and buy the spray so you can mark the big trees then only saw them.

Is there a daily demand or something because the old sawmill worked fine for 5 or 6 full trucks and now it seems to be taking log by log when I try to sell
