Volvo grapple not working

anyone else run into the problem where one of the rams all of a sudden stops working on the grapple?
only one side opens and closes it works fine when you buy from store and test but after my first log pick up one ram stops which stops it from fully closing and being able to pick up more logs. a shame because its a cool bit of kit.

yes it happened to me with the bigger of the 2 new excavators while finishing the first trailer load. I had to save and relaunch the game to fix it.

I've had some commands just stop working. At one point I couldn't rotate my grapple on my logging trailer. a restart of the game sorted it out. Then I couldn't rotate my chainsaw, restart sorted it out.

Even the commands were correct, neither mouse or keyboard commands worked, so it wasn't a binding issue. They just stopped working until I did a restart.

Had the grapple on the 250 stop working on one half, couldn't get it to work at all. Made the truck completely useless and unable to continue to pick anything up. We managed to lift about 20 logs until it broke.

Do you think it could be a mod conflict will empty mod folder tonight and try! Nothing was showing up in the log!

Had this happen twice now, restarting seems to be the only way to fix it. I'm sorting through a lot of logs and loading almost two trailers between when it happens, so definitely more than 20 logs in my case..
I use a lot of mods, but I think this is a platinum bug.. Please post if you find any conflicting mods though!

Apart from the fact that some game changing stuff like yarders and winches should've been included in the base game as a much needed update to give the players some sense of development between the tiles when it comes to logging, this DLC is pretty dope.

yea i love the DLC being ex forestry myself. i have restarted the game but as i progress it still happens again. going to remove all mods and play for awhile now and see how that goes.

so played for 20 mins loaded 10 logs and it happened again this time i had an empty mod folder. so not mod related i believe. guess ill have to wait for a patch. its a pain in the ass to restart the game every 20 mins or 10 or so logs seems more frequent for me then some others.
i must clarify this is with both the volvo EC250DL and the EC380DL with grapple.

I've played for several hours today without experiencing this bug.. Hope you're doing the same!
Edit: -But I've noticed the vehicle (w/belts) won't turn left when standing still.. Any of you guys noticed this? This is with the 380. I'm using the vehicle control addon, so might be this causing the issue for me..
Edit: Played for perhaps 20 minutes more before experiencing the bug with the grapple, lol

I've been in single player only, so probably vehicle/grapple related. Seems to be happening when smashing the grapple against the ground or logs. Had both sides of the grapple quit on me today, so that was a new one.

I've put up a cheap vehicle workshop, so instead of restarting the game I just switch out the grapple with the fast coupler for free and then back again, fixes the problem.

The grapple breaks from time to time, yes. For me it depends, one time after 20 logs, other time after 200. You can easily fix it by resetting the excavator :)

one of the work around i have for this is i have the easy developer mod installed and from within it you can reset vehicles and i just have it set to reset when i need to and it goes back to working
