Except for those of us who bought the game with the season pass for the DLCs, we get a map that is not farming it is logging. I did not buy a farming sim game to log.
even in real life foresty is indeed farming there are many plantations out in the world who raise the trees and cut them,
No one ever seems to look at the bright side of things in life anymore. It's always just about what should have been or everything needs to be tailor made for each individual person.
Great if you use mods. What about those of us who do not? We are stuck with a forestry map in a Farming game. This is the last time I buy a Season Pass for Farming SIm. Because of the map not suitable for use we lost money on the deal with the expansion being all about forestry, we will never touch it.
Interesting question is why you dont use mods? I mean there is no real downside, you go to modhub in game and hit subscribe and there you go.
There are many ok maps but quite a few real good ones, and most of them are for farming work with tons of fields.
So, I came into the series at 17, and am increasingly more and more disappointed with how little has improved throughout 19 and 22 the more I play. I enjoy the forestry part, but sound design here is just as bad as it was in 17, meaning there's no sounds when working with logs in the forest. Physics is just the same, and for a lot of the mods I have installed, I keep wondering why these different things haven't been put in by Giants in the base game. Having the wheel loader not snap back to middle when letting go of the joystick on the controller gives so much more realism and control. -After hundreds of hours I suddenly realise there has to be a mod that could fix this. Of course there was, but the fix seemed so simple, why couldn't Giants offer this as an option in 17, 19 or 22..? It really baffles me.. Letting go of the tree you're holding with the wood harvester? ( like you could in 17), going to need a mod for that.. etc etc .
Parts of this DLC should've been included as an update for the base game in my opinion, to give their players some sense of development between the titles when it comes to forestry (First real improvement to forestry is this DLC, and a lot of people have a hard time accepting that farmers also plant trees..). Buying this DLC to get some sense of improvement, but will leave a negative review of both it and the game.
I will not be so quick to buy their next game.
It's not about having the game tailor made to my needs, mods can help with that. -But I feel almost no difference playing 22 instead of 17.. and that's with a FULL game in between..
2. You dont need mods to create your own Fields....
I will never purchase another seasons pass from giants unless they fully disclose all the equipment included upfront. I prepurchased fs22 with the season pass and was totally disappointed. The platium expansion is the beggiest let let down as it was giants jewel of the seasons pass.
