best order to obtain best yield?
I've read several people's posts as to what is best and they vary, so I'm wondering, what is the best order to obtain the best yield?

what are you growing?

Usually grow things like what, oat, canola.

i mulch, plow if need to, lime if need to, cultivate, fert, seed, roll before it starts growing, 2nd fert after sprout

weed as soon as you see them

with that order im around 97-98% bonus of the 100 you can get

The Farming Simulator Academy website has very comprehensive broken down information on the steps to obtain max yield.

In short:

If field needs PLOWING:
-> Mulch stubble (2.5% bonus)
-> Plow (15%)
-> Seed + Fertilizer (22.5%)
-> Roll field before seeds germinate (2.5%)
-> Fertilizer after one growth stage (22.5%)

If field DOESN'T need plowing:
-> Direct seeder + Fertilizer (25%) -- according to experimentation from Farmer Cop, you gain the Mulching benefit when using a direct seeder on top of stubble
-> Roll field before seeds germinate (2.5%)
-> Weeder/Hoe (20%) -- don't let weeds get to the last stage, herbicide reduces yield
-> Fertilizer after one growth stage (22.5%)

If field needs LIME (15%):
-> Apply lime before you start any other steps. The order for lime doesn't actually matter much, but it's more realistic to apply lime before you work the soil, so that when you do lime gets incorporated into it.

You should be getting 100% bonus yield on fields that don't need plowing, liming, weeding, and have been mulched, rolled, and fertilized twice. Mulching and rolling have too small an impact to be worth the capital cost and the work hours if you're just starting and have few fields to work (5% bonus yield over a small harvest likely won't pay the cost of leasing/buying the equipment).

I never do the 2.5% steps, waste of time for hardly any return. If you do not need lime, just culti, seed and fertilize 2 times with time in between and when weeds come use rake. Done, 95% yield ... good enough for me.
50 extra crops on 1000 liter, for 2 extra steps, no thanks.

i mean, it adds up once u get into the milions of liters lol, and needs little attention for the extra steps so u can let the ai do that while u focus on other tasks

I guess thats true, but i just dont see the value. Once i have so much money i can let the AI goof off on my fields and have millions of crops, whats 5% good for at that point. 5% stay 5%.
At best i see a "roleplay" value in it, you do it cause it would be realistic maybe, but other than that... nope.

i heard that mulching before direct drilling was bugged? and took away the 2.5%. is that fixed now?

Also herbicide works before any weeds show up. If weeds show up at any point it reduces yield even if sprayed after
