I've seen the no field info message a number of times though, even when it's on kit that I know the AI can handle!
First time I have used this roller, so I assumed it was just too big to raise and lower.
Just rolled a field, still says "need rolling".
Tried to hire a worker and "worker X has stopped work unexpectedy - no field found!"
Did you just finish seeding a field? That is when rolling should be done. The field not found error often comes up when you try to have ai do a task out of order.
i.e. trying to mulch a field that has been cultivated already following its harvest. You can no longer gain the 2.5% bonus yield from mulching at that point.
because you cant roll before you seed as seeding deletes the status of it being rolled, or after there is growth as its to late to roll after its started growing and the rollers will do nothing
I read that rolling could be done after seeding, I just assumed the field prompts meant "you should do this now".
Thanks
Yeah, I think the reason why many thought to do so before seeding is they wanted to remove rocks and think of the roller as only there to remove rocks, not also add yield. I certainly was doing it wrong until I read the post on the FS Academy page for yield and realized I was doing it out of order.
A plus though, with the new patch, it shows you the bonus yield you are going to get for a field. You can now see if you will be getting that full 100% or not.
Thanks.
Yeah, true, but you could fold it to raise it as well. I don't use that one as it is too big for my fields. I use the one slightly smaller.
