The game has pretty much ended it's life cycle, i don't think they'll bring out any new dlc, and it doesn't need major patches, at least i don't have big issues.
Fs25 it's a new game still to come, from a new player perspective could be a better option since it's more recent, but you'll have to wait for modders and dlc to come to a similar completeness.
Or you could wait for a later repackage, but you could end waiting forever and by the time they will probably announce a Fs27.
it's really up to you, sorry if i'm not helping you out XD
I'm glad to hear direct that there don't seem to be any big issues with the game!
Tbh I guess, it being 2024, I am just trying to test the waters to make sure there aren't some huge glaring errors that were being passed over in favor of the new game, like some kinda of gamebreaking multiplayer bug or unaddressed large scale issue with the game.
We live in a world where totally unfinished games are released by reputable(or were/should be reputable) companies and have a handful content patches pushed for them, leave massive annoying bugs and are passed over for the sequel. I'm burned out by that model.
I just want an enjoyable finished game man
i think it depends on:
- how much you willing to spend;
- how much you get tired with vanilla games and need DLCs;
FS22 is a great game and I´m sure FS25 will be good too, but will take more couple of years to have it´s full DLC package.
Also are you willing to wait 4 months to play? If not, FS22
Plus, it could be that you tire of it quickly (it's not for everyone, like all games) in which case you also saved money over the full price game...
You will get many hours of entertainment prior to the release of FS25. Buy the platinum edition
why not the premium edition?
Platinum version has the platinum expansion which i personally feel was a waste of time. One hand it was good to see GIANTS branching out (pun intended lol) to some thing new. But honestlyi play this game for chill farming, not tree planting.
Premium edition gives you the most content since it includes the year 1 and 2 passes.
