can i play without vehicles?

i like smaller scale farming. i want to know if i can farm by hand. grow a small veg garden and raise animals without tractors and stuff a bit like harvest moon or stardew. i don't want tractor simulator i want farming simulator... is this possible? if so how good is it? thank youuuuu x

Like them two games? No idea, never played them, only know of them by name.
Is it gonna be fun? Well, if youre into that, then i guess so.

hey thanks for replying. sooo the reason i ask is because I want to buy it on ps4 as my pc is not up to spec, so mods wont help me. I saw someone do a similar thing on youtube and I was worried they were mods, so that clarifies things for me. I just want a more hands on experience I would still use tractors sometimes. thanks anyway kinda disappointed with all the versions of the game I thought they would eventually simulate actual farming not just mass produced machine based farming. nvm

Consoles do have access to mods via the modhub, pc can just have more mods from the modhub and from other sites too.
And i wouldnt say that using vehicles and equipment isnt "actual farming". Sure, not every local small "farmer" around me uses a Big Bud, but i dont see any of them running around harvesting either grass or crops by hand, none of them make bales by hand etc etc, thats way too slow and time consuming for even the small farmers.

So i dont think your mindset is into FS to begin with tho, and if i were you, i wouldnt spend money on it as im pretty sure you would just get disappointed by what you get.

you would have absolutely loved a game called "life is feudal" you had to sow and reap all by hand. The quality of your product was determined by the attention to detail you gave. However i caution you , it is a love / hate relationship with me. The game LIF YO is basically abandonware but on private servers its is still very very good. The LIF MMO is rebooted with new devs but they are beating a dead horse i fear. The main issue with the game isnt the concept or the gameplay but that they use an engine from 2009 that is highly modified but that is basically putting lipstick on a corpse of a rotten pig. Another good MMO for crops is called myth of empires. Its not as realistic as LIF but the crop system is very fun and so is the cooking. It had some issues at its start legally but those are all resolved now for the better.

lol, op does not really knwo what he talks about, you can farm on a small scale easily, on
pc and on console.

There is a current videogame "Medieval Dynasty" that does an outstanding job of small-field farming by hand, complete with buildings you can build, villagers you can recruit and farm animals. Definitely top class. And it's multiplayer.

haha i was being dramatic on purpose i did actually like the older ones. they just felt like they were missing something.

like the way animals were first implemented. and i think even in this one you can't interact with livestock. Just seems like little things would make this game awesome. if you could do what I'm saying in this game you could play it any style you want. just use a small tractor and have a green house with tomatoes and plant more complex small scale crops that need pruning and fertilising which machines cant really do. like a homestaed experience and work your way to big fields and profits.
