Can you return seeds / animals food to the garage if you bought them wrong?

Animals you can sell to the animal dealer, seeds etc. you may be able to sell if there is a sell point that accepts them (some maps have them, or you can add one as a mod).

You should be able to return the items you just bought that day without a penalty for the sake of realism.

I paid 1,500 for chicken food which is... wheat

I traveled the whole town to the grain collector to get like 300 for it... Im being robbed

I would have kept the chickens until the food ran out. But I never would have bought chicken food in the first place.

I indeed kept the chicken till the food I intentionally bought ran over. Problem is that after I sold the chicken coop I bought the chicken food that I was used to buy frequently by mistake, instead of buying the bales.

About buying the chicken food what else would I do? There were 300 hungry birds waiting for food and my wheat wouldn´t be ready for harvest too soon. And even it was, it was a small field and it wouldn´t be enough for much time. Getting me leftovers of every wheat contract would take ages or a boring management of AI workers that I didn´t want at the moment.

Btw I got decent money with chicken even buying its food. The same with the sheeps, I got pretty good money selling crude wool, then fabric then I just built my second taylor shop only buying bales, and Im playing on hard economy. Didn´t see a grass field for years. Planting your food is nice, I respect the ones who enjoys it for the role playing, but it´s not imprescindible to earn money in the long term, tho I know it would make your profits increase quicker.

Just speaking for me personally, the only animal food I'll buy is pig food. I've had to buy silage or straw as few times in the past, but it absolutely kills me when I have to.

For me, chickens are more of a byproduct animal than a main source of income. Usually, I'm farming wheat because I need the straw, not because I need the wheat. Then, since there's wheat, comes the bakery. Then, if there's still wheat, comes the chickens.

I use a slaughterhouse mod that I've heavily edited for balance, so with chickens, if I run out of food, I just clean house until I had food again. Not Ideal, since I'd like them to produce more chickens, but it happens occasionally.

Chickens were important in the start of my save when as an absolute novice I was trying to figure out how to play. Bees were obviously the easiest but I want to try another animal and Chickens were the cheapest, plus the eggs were easy to carry and throw in my pickup when the pallet was not full yet.

Im thinking about going for pigs next when I have money but I don´t have a clue how to feed them without watching videos, probably I´ll just feed em the processed food.
